Lawn Mowing & Acreage Maintenance Narre Warren North

Mowing, hedge work and fence-line weed control for the larger, sloping and treed blocks around Narre Warren North.

Photos of the block help most here — they show us the slope, the access and how much is actually lawn.

Larger blocks need a different plan to a suburban lawn

Narre Warren North runs from ordinary residential streets up into bigger, greener blocks with long driveways and paddock-style edges. Not every property here is acreage, but plenty are big enough that a standard suburban mow doesn't describe the job.

On the larger properties we usually agree on which areas actually get mowed — the lawn around the house, the driveway verge, the section you use — rather than treating the whole block as lawn. That keeps the visit sensible and the price honest.

Sloped and uneven ground

A lot of the blocks up here sit on a slope. Slopes are slower to mow, need more care around wet or soft ground, and can be unsafe to rush. We work them with walk-behind and self-propelled machines and adjust the cutting height so the mower isn't scalping the high points.

We don't run a ride-on at present, so if a property is genuinely paddock-sized we'll say so up front rather than quote for something we're not set up to do well.

Tall boundary hedges and long screening runs

Boundary hedges out here are often long runs rather than a few bushes by the door — ten metres and beyond is common, and they set the character of the frontage. We shape and tidy them from the ground, working along the run so the face and top stay level.

Anything that needs climbing, a tower or tree work is outside what we take on, and we'll tell you before the day rather than after.

Perimeter and fence-line weed spraying

  • Spraying along fence lines and boundaries so grass and weeds stop creeping into the wire
  • Driveway edges, gravel and paved joints kept clear
  • Around sheds, tanks and outbuildings where the mower can't get a clean pass
  • Repeat treatment through the growing season, which works far better than one spray a year

Leaf and green waste on treed blocks

Mature trees are part of why people live here, and they drop heavily through autumn. Leaf clearing across lawn, driveways and frontages can be booked on its own or added to a regular visit. Where the volume is beyond what a green bin takes, removal is quoted separately before we start.

Frequently asked questions

Do you mow acreage in Narre Warren North?
We mow larger residential blocks with walk-behind and self-propelled equipment. We don't currently run a ride-on, so genuinely paddock-sized areas aren't a good fit — send photos and we'll tell you honestly either way before quoting.
Can you trim a long boundary hedge?
Yes, as long as we can reach it safely from the ground. Long screening runs take longer than a few shrubs, so we quote them on the length and height of the hedge and how far back it needs to come.
How often should a larger block be mowed?
Through spring and summer, most properties up here look best on a fortnightly cut, and weekly if the lawn is irrigated. Over winter the growth slows right down and monthly is usually enough.
