Lawn Edging & Trimming
The detail that makes a mowed lawn actually look finished.

Edging is what separates a lawn that's been mowed from a lawn that looks looked-after. A cut lawn with grass creeping over the concrete still reads as untidy from the street.
Edging is included with our regular mowing. We can also do a heavier one-off edge on a lawn that's crept over its borders after a long stretch without attention.
Where we edge
- Driveways — cutting the grass back to the concrete line
- Paths and pool surrounds
- Garden bed borders, so the beds keep their shape
- Fence lines and around posts, where a mower can't reach
- Nature strips and kerb edges, on request
Edging vs line trimming
They're different jobs and both matter. An edger cuts a vertical line where lawn meets a hard surface. A line trimmer knocks down the grass a mower can't get to — around trees, taps, clotheslines, fence posts and tight corners. We do both on a normal visit.
Bringing back an overgrown edge
If an edge hasn't been cut in a long time, grass runners spread over the concrete and build up soil on top. Recovering that line takes longer than a routine edge and can lift a fair amount of debris, so we quote it as its own piece of work rather than folding it into a standard mow.

Edges stay sharp longest when they're redone every visit on regular maintenance.
Edging and nature strips are a big part of our work in Berwick's wide grass verges and Hampton Park front lawns.
Frequently asked questions
- Is edging included when you mow?
- Yes — edging and line trimming are part of a standard mowing visit, not an extra.
- Can I book edging without mowing?
- We can, though it usually makes more sense combined with a mow. Get in touch and we'll quote what you need.
- Will edging damage my sprinkler heads or cables?
- We walk the edge first and work around anything visible. If you have irrigation, low-voltage lighting or anything shallow near the edge, point it out and we'll keep clear of it.
