Getting weeds out of lawns, beds and paving — and keeping on top of them.
Weeds are mostly a maintenance problem. A lawn that's mowed at the right height and kept thick crowds most of them out on its own; a lawn that's thin, scalped or left long is where they take hold.
We handle weeds two ways: physical removal, and spot treatment of what's there. We'll tell you which one suits your situation instead of selling you a program you don't need.

Treatment and safety
Where a treatment is used, we apply it to the target area, follow the product's label directions, and tell you what was used and how long to keep kids and pets off it. If you'd rather no chemicals were used at all, say so — we'll do it by hand and price it accordingly.
We're honest about the limits. One treatment doesn't end weeds forever, and anything with an established root system usually needs a follow-up.
Lawn weeds and garden bed weeds are different jobs
In a lawn, the aim is to knock the weeds back without damaging the grass around them, so it's selective spot work plus getting the mowing height and frequency right. In a garden bed there's no turf to protect, so hand weeding back to clean soil or mulch is usually faster and lasts longer — especially if the bed is re-mulched afterwards.
Weeds in paving joints, along fence lines and around sheds are their own thing again, and they're usually the ones that make a tidy yard still look untidy.
Prevention beats treatment
The most effective weed control on a home lawn isn't a spray, it's a consistent mowing height and a regular cut. That's why weed problems usually shrink once a lawn goes onto a regular maintenance visit. In beds, a decent layer of mulch does the same job.
Warmer months
Weeds move quickest through the warmer, wetter part of the year, and they seed. Clearing them before they set seed is far less work than dealing with what comes up afterwards, which is why weeding often gets bundled into a spring or summer cleanup visit.

Frequently asked questions
- Is the treatment safe around kids and pets?
- We follow the label directions of whatever is applied and let you know the re-entry period for that product. If you'd prefer we don't use anything, we'll do the job by hand instead.
- Will one treatment get rid of them?
- Usually not entirely. Established weeds and anything spreading by runners generally need a follow-up, and prevention comes from keeping the lawn thick and regularly cut.
- Can you just pull the weeds out of my garden beds?
- Yes. Plenty of jobs are straight hand weeding — beds cleared back to bare soil or mulch, no chemicals involved. Tell us that's what you want and we'll price it that way.
- Do you do full lawn fertilising programs?
- No. We stick to mowing, edging, cleanups, hedges and weed work rather than claiming to run agronomy programs. We're not a licensed spraying contractor and don't take on commercial or broadacre weed spraying.
